A teen's anti-marriage pledge collapses into a manhole, depositing her ten years forward as a crime boss's wife and mother.
An eighteenth-birthday oath to never wed Linus Montgomery dissolves the moment pavement gives way. Consciousness resumes inside a penthouse ruled by New York's most feared Don, a wedding band on her finger and a six-year-old calling her Mommy. The missing decade reveals a younger self who drained the family fortune and chose a manipulative scumbag over the man she now shares a bed with. She moves to shield the child, purge the leeches, and reclaim the king she once rejected, only for a buzzing phone to announce a text from "Hubby" that threatens the fragile truce.
