Abandoned for bark skin, a witch-raised woman enters a lethal royal ritual to claim the prince who loved her true self.
Beauty-obsessed parents discard infant Lina Navera into the Forbidden Forest, where a witch shelters her and Lark loves her thorned form without hesitation. An enchanted stream rewrites her face and reveals Lark as Riviera's crown prince, already pledged to noblewoman Verei. Refusing to vanish lands Lina in a cell, so she volunteers for the Rite of Blossoms, a trial where contestants vie for the throne. While Verei maneuvers in the shadows, the forest that raised Lina begins to wither, hinting at a rot festering within the royal line itself. The discarded daughter must now master court intrigue and dying magic to decide whether a crown built on secrets is worth claiming.
